Transcript of above video:
Step 1: To create a Test Suite, navigate to ‘File’ – ‘New Test Suite’
Step 2: Enter a name for your test suite and choose the folder where you want the test suite to be stored.
Here I am giving the test suite name as ‘Notepad_AUT’
Step 3: Click on ‘Next’
Step 4: Choose whichever scripting language you want and click Next to get to the wizard’s last page.
Step 5: If you are creating a new test suite for an AUT that Squish already knows about, simply click the combo box to pop-down the list of AUTs and choose the one you want. If the combo box is empty or your AUT isn’t listed, click the Browse button to the right of the combobox—this will pop-up a file.
Here I have clicked on Browse button to select ‘notepad’ application
Step 6: click on ‘new script test case’ button to record a new test case.
Step 7: click on ‘record’ button
Squish will launch the AUT. Here our AUT is ‘notepad’.
Step 8: I am typing the text ‘hi’
Step 9: Now adding a ‘verification point’ to the text ‘hi’
Step 10: Stop the recording.
Step 11: Run the test suite by clicking on play button.
Step 12: Output is pass
Step 13: Adding the same step again and this time passing the text as ‘hi’ again
Step 14: Run the test suite by clicking on play button.. see the output is pass
